Prince Mario-Max Schaumburg-Lippe: A Standing Ovation in the Hamptons: Craig Rubano Shines at Songbook by the Sea!

The Hamptons once again became the beating heart of cabaret excellence as the Hamptons Summer Songbook by the Sea 2025 lit up the stage with brilliance, glamour, and unbridled joy. At the center of this magical evening was none other than Craig Rubano, whose performance redefined vocal mastery and left the audience spellbound.

Craig Rubano: A Masterpiece in Motion

Rubano’s voice is not simply heard — it is felt. With an enormous vocal range that soared effortlessly from delicate whispers to commanding crescendos, he filled LTV Studios with a rare blend of artistry, power, and heart. Each note was infused with a deep emotional current, drawing listeners into the story behind every lyric. His interpretive depth transformed standards into revelations, making the familiar fresh and the new unforgettable.

Un Craig Rubano: A Voice That Defines Broadway and Beyond

In the world of Broadway, where talent is measured in moments that bring audiences to their feet, Craig Rubano stands as a rare and radiant star. His career is a journey marked not only by extraordinary vocal mastery but by an ability to connect with audiences on a deeply human level. For those who have experienced his performances — whether under the bright lights of New York or in the intimate cabaret settings of the Hamptons — the consensus is clear: Craig Rubano is not just a performer, he is an experience.

Early Inspirations and Broadway Breakthrough

Rubano’s story began with a love for the stage that was evident from his earliest years. His natural charisma, coupled with an enormous vocal range, set him apart from his peers long before he stepped onto Broadway. After rigorous training and a devotion to perfecting his craft, Rubano’s big break came when he landed roles in some of Broadway’s most celebrated productions.

Audiences and critics alike recognized something unique in him: a performer with both the technical prowess to command any score and the emotional depth to make each note resonate with authenticity. His presence on stage was magnetic — whether leading a company number or holding a theater in silence with a single ballad.

A Voice of Enormous Range

Rubano’s voice is often described as “limitless.” He transitions seamlessly from the soaring highs of Broadway anthems to the tender intimacy of a cabaret torch song. This versatility has allowed him to move fluidly across genres, mastering classical repertoire, show tunes, contemporary pieces, and original works with equal brilliance.

What makes Rubano exceptional, however, is not only the scope of his range but the energy and power he brings to every performance. Each phrase is carefully crafted, yet delivered with spontaneity, as though he is discovering the story in real time with his audience. This gift makes his performances feel deeply personal, even in the grandest theaters.

From Broadway to Cabaret: Master of Intimacy

While Broadway first introduced Rubano to the world, his forays into cabaret solidified his reputation as a master storyteller. In more intimate venues, Rubano reveals another side of his artistry — a vulnerability and warmth that brings audiences closer, both literally and emotionally.

At events like the Hamptons Summer Songbook by the Sea, Rubano has captivated audiences with performances described as “masterpieces.” His ability to take a familiar standard and infuse it with new life is a hallmark of his artistry. Each performance is not simply sung, but lived — leaving audiences with the sense that they have shared something unrepeatable and profound.

The Scholar-Performer

What many admire most about Rubano is that he is as much a thinker as he is a singer. Beyond the stage, he has pursued scholarly endeavors that inform his performances with remarkable intellectual depth. A trained academic with advanced degrees, Rubano brings to his craft not only passion but insight, layering his interpretations with meaning that goes beyond the music itself.

This fusion of intellect and artistry has made him a beloved figure among students, peers, and audiences alike. He embodies the idea that performance is not only entertainment but a dialogue — a way of reflecting life back to those who witness it.

The Performer Audiences Love

Those who have shared an evening with Craig Rubano often describe his presence in glowing, unforgettable terms:

  • “He doesn’t just sing — he gives you his soul.”
  • “When he’s on stage, you don’t hear the music; you feel it in your bones.”
  • “A true Broadway star, but also a friend to the audience.”

From the grand stages of Broadway to the celebrated cabaret nights of the Hamptons, Rubano has become a performer audiences not only admire but love. His combination of power, warmth, and brilliance ensures that every performance lingers long after the final note.

A Legacy of Passion and Artistry

As Craig Rubano continues to perform and inspire, his legacy is one of both excellence and generosity. He reminds the world that the magic of Broadway is not found solely in marquee lights or standing ovations but in the shared human moments between performer and audience.

In every phrase, in every performance, Rubano affirms what true artistry means: to live fully in the music, to give without reservation, and to uplift others through the universal language of song.

Craig Rubano is, and will remain, one of Broadway’s brightest stars — a voice of power, a heart of generosity, and a performer whose legacy is as boundless as his range.

Audiences marveled at his energy and precision, with many declaring this performance one of his finest. “It was a masterpiece,” remarked H.H. Dr. Prince Mario-Max Schaumburg-Lippe, who praised Rubano’s extraordinary gift for connecting with every soul in the room. His words echoed the sentiment shared by a standing ovation: Craig Rubano is not only a singer — he is a force of nature.

The Powerhouse Producers: Donna Rubin & Josh Gladstone

Behind the brilliance on stage were two guiding lights — Donna Rubin and Josh Gladstone, the visionary producers who have turned the Songbook by the Sea into a Hamptons cultural jewel. Their unwavering dedication to excellence has made the series a must-attend summer tradition, elevating cabaret to a level of prestige and glamour that rivals Broadway.

Rubin, with her innate elegance and creative drive, and Gladstone, with his artistic leadership and theater acumen, form a partnership that blends sophistication with heart. Together, they have built a stage where legends and rising stars alike can shine — and where audiences feel not only entertained but uplifted.

Norah Lawlor: The Voice Behind the Spotlight

No great production reaches the world without brilliance behind the scenes. Enter Norah Lawlor, the public relations powerhouse whose touch has elevated Hamptons Songbook by the Sea into the cultural headlines it deserves. Known for her discerning eye and unmatched dedication, Lawlor has ensured that the series receives the recognition fitting of its artistry. Her ability to capture the essence of an event and broadcast it to the world is itself a kind of artistry — one that has made the Songbook a glittering centerpiece of the Hamptons season.

A Celebration of Joy and Legacy

From the lush red curtain backdrop to the rapturous applause that filled the studio, the night was a celebration of what the Hamptons does best: blending art, community, and celebration in perfect harmony. Craig Rubano’s performance will be remembered as one of those rare nights when everything aligned — the voice, the vision, the audience, and the pure magic of the moment.

With Donna Rubin and Josh Gladstone steering the production, Norah Lawlor amplifying its brilliance, and artists like Rubano bringing their hearts to the stage, the Hamptons Summer Songbook by the Sea 2025 has secured its place as a shining star in the East End’s cultural constellation.

As the final notes lingered in the air, one truth was undeniable: this was more than a concert. It was a love letter to music, to legacy, and to the timeless spirit of the Hamptons.

Prince Mario-Max Schaumburg-Lippe: The Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center Marks a Magnificent Milestone with a Star-Studded 25th Anniversary GET WILD! Gala

Southampton, NY — Under the golden glow of a Hamptons summer evening, the Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center of the Hamptons celebrated its Silver Anniversary in true style with the 25th Annual GET WILD! Gala—an unforgettable night dedicated to compassion, community, and the creatures that share our world.

For a quarter of a century, the Center has been the beating heart of wildlife rescue and rehabilitation across Eastern Long Island. This year’s gala was not only a celebration of 25 years of tireless dedication but also a record-breaking moment: over 1,800 animals aided in 2025 alone, marking the highest number in the organization’s history.

Guests arrived at the Southampton Arts Center to a warm welcome from Executive Director Kathleen Mulcahy and Gala Emcee, the award-winning animal advocate Jill Rappaport, whose boundless energy set the tone for the night. As the sun dipped low, attendees sipped cocktails al fresco, mingled beneath twinkling lights, and even had the rare opportunity to meet some of the Center’s current wildlife ambassadors—gentle reminders of the mission at hand.

This year’s honoree, the remarkable Zelda Penzel, was recognized for her lifelong advocacy and unwavering commitment to animal welfare. The event was orchestrated to perfection by gala chairs Ingrid Edelman, Jane Gill, Missy Hargraves, and Lisa Baron Schenker, who brought together an extraordinary guest list. Among the glittering crowd was acting star, the gorgeous Leesa Rowland, the beloved Charity Queen Jean Shafiroff, Henry Buehl, Leesa Rowland, “Aunt” Sue Hrib, Chris Teakle, Ashley Bloom, and many more devoted supporters.

Inside, the excitement soared with a live and silent auction that raised over $200,000 for the Center’s vital programs. Laughter, applause, and heartfelt moments filled the air as guests bid generously, knowing every dollar would help rescue, rehabilitate, and release wildlife back into their natural habitats.

The evening also marked the unveiling of the Center’s new Silver Anniversary logo, symbolizing both the legacy and the bright future of the organization. Over its 25 years, the Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center has grown from a grassroots effort into Eastern Long Island’s only full-service professional wildlife hospital—staffed by licensed rehabilitators and supported by over 3,000 members, 500 trained volunteers, and countless champions of the cause.

Located on Munn’s Pond Park and surrounded by the rare ecosystem stretching from Tiana Bay to Peconic Bay, the Center is a sanctuary of healing and hope. Each year, it fields more than 15,000 calls for wildlife assistance and offers educational programs to schools, internships for college students, and community outreach to inspire the next generation of conservationists.

As the night drew to a close, there was no doubt that the 25th Anniversary GET WILD! Gala had done more than raise critical funds—it had reignited a shared passion to protect and preserve Long Island’s wildlife for generations to come. In the words of one guest, “It’s not just about saving animals—it’s about saving the very soul of the Hamptons.”
