Global icon and Hollywood star Hank Garrett of Car 54 has his own day!

Hank Garrett, is an American Hollywood actor, comedian, author, speaker, teacher, and former NYPD Cop and professional wrestler. Best known for his role as Officer Nicholson on the television series “Car 54, Where Are You?,” Garrett has enjoyed a long and diverse career spanning decades.

Born in Harlem, New York City, Garrett’s journey is a testament to resilience and determination. He turned to powerlifting, bodybuilding, and karate at a young age as a means of self-protection. His athletic prowess led him to win the Junior Olympic Powerlifting competition in 1958 and embark on a professional wrestling career under the name “The Minnesota Farm Boy.”

Garrett’s acting career took off with his memorable role on “Car 54, Where Are You?” He went on to appear in numerous films and television shows, often portraying tough guys and villains. Notable credits include “Serpico,” “Death Wish,” “The Amityville Horror,” and “Three Days of the Condor.” He also lent his voice to animated series such as “G.I. Joe” and “Garfield and Friends.”

Actor / comedian / voice over artist, teacher, improv workshop leader, author, key note Publix speaker and Legend Hank Garrett works on his new 2020 book. 

His Manager Deanna Marie Smith announced the big book news right after the Hollywood icon landed from receiving the worlds best fight scene in movie history award in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Hank Garrett was born in Monticello, New York. His parents soon relocated to Harlem, New York. At age 15 Hank started performing in the Catskill Mountains, and turned professional wrestler at age 17 (by lying about his age).  A small sample of his credits are:  Officer Nicholson on the TV sit-com “Car 54, Where Are You,”  Muscles Malone  in “Serpico” (starring Al Pacino), and as the award-winning assassin in “Three Days of the Condor” (starring Robert Redford), and voices on “GI Joe” and “Garfield.”
