No wonder she teamed up with the worlds biggest fundraisers and power-supporters of charitable causes the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Her and her team want to ensure the campaign for Prince Harry’s first Invictus Hybrid Winter Games is a resounding success. “I am collaborating closely with the Canadian CMO of True Patriot Love, who initially brought the Invictus Games to Canada and is now overseeing the first Winter Games.”, Carpenter adds.
Sussex Community Event Announces Fundraising Campaign in Recognition of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex Family Birthdays, for the First Invictus Games 25 Hybrid Winter Games in Whistler, Vancouver on July 5, 2024.
Sussex Community Event, a dedicated group of individuals committed to promoting and supporting the military community, including through the Invictus Games, is thrilled to announce the launch of a fundraising campaign in honor of the inaugural Invictus Games 25 Hybrid Winter Games. This groundbreaking event will take place in Whistler, Vancouver, bringing together wounded, injured, and sick servicemembers and Veterans from the 25 Invictus Nations to compete and celebrate their extraordinary resilience.
The Invictus Games, founded by Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, provide a platform for ill and injured Veterans and active service members to harness the power of sport in their recovery journey. The upcoming Winter Games in 2025 will be the first of their kind, incorporating a unique hybrid format that combines traditional winter sports with adaptive technologies, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility for all participants.

The fundraising campaign aims to raise $200K, which will help support active service members, Veterans, and their families on their recovery journey, through the power of adaptive sport and the Invictus Games. Funding will help support travel expenses and accommodations for those supporting the Games as well as increasing awareness and sharing the stories of those who have served their country. All donations will flow through True Patriot Love Foundation, Canada’s Foundation for the military community, working to support military members, Veterans, and their families at every stage of their journey. True Patriot Love is proud to have won the bid to bring the Invictus Games to Canada for Toronto 2017 and to have won the bid and to be the host organization for Vancouver Whistler 2025.
To date, over $50,000 has already been raised, thanks to global supporters of Sussex Community Event.
