Palm Beach’s charity circuit has its constellations — and few shine brighter than the trio of Prince Mario-Max Schaumburg-Lippe, Diana Davis, and Jean Shafiroff, together for the 11th Annual Mardi Gras benefit and featured in Florida Weekly.
“Thanks to my amazing and cherished friend Gail V Haines, the Star of Media of Palm Beach, for supporting charity and being such an amazing artist!” the prince said, crediting the media force who helped bring the evening its spotlight.
The night belonged to the intersection of film, philanthropy, and purpose. Diana Davis — founder of Movies Making a Difference — and renowned philanthropist Jean Shafiroff joined the prince in an evening built around a simple proposition: that elegance and compassion aren’t opposing forces, and that voices for change deserve the brightest possible stage.
Eleven years in, the Mardi Gras benefit has become a fixture — proof that when the right leaders commit to a cause, celebration itself becomes a form of advocacy. A night where compassion took center stage, and nobody wanted the curtain to fall.
